Employees in
tax jobs and finance-focused positions should always look to communicate in face-to-face setting rather than emails, according to a leading expert.
The advice comes courtesy of Ian Price, the author of The Activity Illusion, who called on those in business to use other forms of communication ahead of email use.
With sensitive information a common part of any tax or audit role, Mr Price explained that those in the workplace are placing too much focus on email.
"Urge people to use other forms of communication first," he said.
"So if at all possible, talk to someone face-to-face or on the phone before you pick up an email."
The importance of communication in the business world was echoed by expert Elizabeth Bacchus.
Speaking in a recent interview, she highlighted the importance of those in senior
audit jobs communicating with staff in order to help move staff development forward.
