EFFECTIVE NETWORKING AND INTEGRATED APPROACH SECURES BEST PRACTICE LEADER

CONTINGENT SEARCH – TAXATION - UK

A client for whom we have conducted numerous retained assignments planned to expand their regional practice. Examining these plans further, we identified that they actually required candidates with an interesting mix of skills - solid middle market and international corporate tax experience who were also seasoned business developers and inspirational team leaders.

Due to the business priorities and associated cost sensitivities, we agreed to undertake an initial research and networking exercise to identify relevant individuals in the local market, which we supplemented with targeted advertising. After approaching several potential candidates we identified one with precisely the skills and experience our client sought.

He was hired immediately and, 2 years on, is now the highest billing Tax Partner across the whole region. His method of balancing networking, business development and fee-paying work is showcased as best practice across the firm, highlighting the benefit of clear definition at the outset.

The Integral difference: Our long-standing relationship with the client and our confidence in our methods and in our network meant that we were able to support their expansion plans effectively.
