EXPANDED HORIZONS BRING A FAVOURABLE OUTCOME

EXECUTIVE SEARCH – COMMERCE – LATIN AMERICA

A FTSE 100 group needed to appoint a Senior Tax Manager heading the LATAM region. Given the size of organisation, seniority of the role and difficulty of location it was important to complete a thorough global search detailing all candidates within the industry sector at the required level. As a starting point, the client provided a list of comparable blue chips in the sector from which they had successfully recruited in the past and achieved a good cultural fit.

Our specialist research team conducted a search to map out individuals in target companies, as well as those with the required industry experience and knowledge within the LATAM region. Given the difficulty of the location and restriction of candidates in such an emerging market, we also leveraged our global network to identify candidates from the target companies in other regions who would be willing to relocate.

Interviews were coordinated in various locations with decision makers coming from 3 continents.  It was therefore imperative that we supplied a robust shortlist, with all strengths and considerations made clear in the shortlist presentation.  Following a lengthy interview process and despite the logistical challenges, the successful candidate was secured within 6 weeks of the shortlist presentation, relocated and is now heading the group’s operations in Latin America.

The Integral Difference: This project was challenging due to location and a limited local supply of suitable candidates.  Our global outlook allowed us to expand the search, whilst still sourcing candidates from the list of preferred organisations provided by our client.
